double check that either "Line In" or "Aux" is selected in your recording control panel under Windows. How is the ATI card connected to the sound card? Internally or through the line in input on the back of the computer?
just a thought

thanks lordsmurf. i'm familiar with that site, i've been reading on how to configure mmc to record from tv tuner and from vcr. i thought if i followed the instructions i would have no issues but oh well. i'll read the article to see if i can find the answer. ill let you know if i find something.

Okay, i followed the instructions on the http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/capture/soundsettings/soundsettings.htm
site. went in to regedit to change some values as directed but did not work, so i changed it back. one thing i found was very interesting. i played back my recordings on all the players that i have installed on my pc and none of them had no sound. heres the interesting thing, real player and creative media source that came with my audigy sound card, both had a message floating on across on the bottom of the screen that said, "Evaluation have expired, please buy the elecard mpeg2 video decoder at elecard.com." is that related to my issue? jus wondering.Very fortunate to be born and raised in Gods Country, HAWAII........ -
well i still can't get any sound while recording off the tv tuner. one thing i did find is that when i hook up audio cable from vcr to the front of my computer, the I/O drive of the audigy soundblaster and start recording, i do have sound at playback. so i guess i have to connect tv cable to vcr. anymore suggestions will really be apreciated. thanks
