    Question - is it possible to rip a dvd to vcd or svcd with Sorround SOund ?

  6. Read the guides CAREFULLY.

    You can get Dolby Surround onto your S/VCDs.

    You cannot get Dolby Digital 5.1 on S/VCDs.

    Sorry but no DD 5.1. You get the standard dolby surround (pro - logic in receiver speak). However if your doing SVCD and you have a phillips dvd player and about a $1200 Onkyo receiver you *might* could do mpeg 5.1. Doubtful unfortunately.....
