  1. I don't see any ratings in the DVD media list. Do they burn the same? Are they as scratch and fingerprint resistant as they say they are? I can't seem to keep my RWs from getting trashed fairly quickly. 40 times more scratch resistant would definitely be worth paying a little more for, if it actually works and still burns the same.

They burn the same and can take a bit more wear and tear. I use them for certain high-use DVDs. I'd say they're about 3x less likely to get a scratch. They fight off light scratches quite well, big ones would still get through as normal.

Remember it's spelled "VideoGard" too (in case you're shopping online).

Get 20 DVD-RW 2x (two 10-packs) for $32 from Amazon, free super-saver shipping. I might get a few for myself too, I'm losing DVD-RW here as well, after 3-4 years of use, scratched up some.

  3. I tried Amazon, I couldn't get the super-saver shipping, even with 2 packs. I ended up getting them for $11/10 from a place about 75 miles away with Google checkout.

If I were to go the VideoGard route, I'd probably get these: http://www.genesysdtp.com/index.htm?verbatim95398details.htm

  5. I need it for RWs, not Rs. I don't have any problems with Rs, I burn them, put them on a spindle and it's over. RWs go in the standalone, then the PC, back in the standalone, etc. All I got was half a dozen times of that and some of them are trashed, all have scratches.
