    I'm on a Mac and I downloaded MacTheRipper and sucessfully ripped a DVD. Now' I'd like to import the ripped DVD into iMovie so that I can use it in a movie. How do I do this?

    Purchase/download the MPEG2 codec from the Apple Store. Install as directed. Restart.

    Use MPEG Streamclip (free) to open the first VOB and let it open the rest when it offers to do this. Export as DV. Import into iMovie.
