    Im trying to join these 2 files on virtualdub but it wouldnt let me because it has different audio stream. i used video studio 10 and joined the movies but the audio is out of sync. they both have the same vid formats and uses mpeg audio layer III. how can i edit the video files so i can join both of htem together?

    decompress the audio to plain PCM wave files, join them then, and recompress the result.

    I do this with VDMod as I prefer the way it handles audio, though most of the time because of MP3 VBR audio. To convert to WAV: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=280779

    Then you can either drop the WAVs into Audacity, combine and output as MP3 again, then add to the combined videos in VDM with Direct stream copy. Or add each WAV back into VDM and use VDM to convert to MP3 with full processing. I would also add the Lame MP3 codec for MP3 conversions. This is not as complicated as it sounds, just takes a little time. And you may need to do this at times, so worth learning.
