I have a drive that is going bad.![]()
About half the files are fine, but the others have lockups or glitches in them. Is there a program or any way to test if the files are ok or not other than watching the entire show?
Thanks,
Chester

Not really. You could use virtualdub to scan for bad frames.
If the drive is "going bad" the best option is to simply install a replacement along side, copy everything you can from the old to the new, and worry first about those items that wont copy. If the drive is corrupting files then you will get read errors, rather than glitches, in most cases.Read my blog here.
