    Hi, guys,



    Iīd like to know what tools are there out there that allow you to extract the audio track from an AVI and convert it into a MP3 file.

    Virtual dub for avi
    Virtual dub MPEG for mpg

    if it's avi, then you save as .wav
    if it's mpg you can save directly to mp3
    with the avi you'll need some kind of conversion program.
    I use Audition, but it's expensive, I'm sure there are cheaper,
    even freeware programs out there.

    I use Virtual dub all the time for editing but I never noticed it allowed you to do that (I wonder what else that progrm can do...).
