  1. Hi,

I have been buring DVD's and applying Neato labels to it for about 5 yrs. Just recently, I have this problem:

After burning the DVD the video is good in a standalone DVD player.
But, after sticking a label the DVD freezes, and has zittery effect on some places.

I have tried SONY, FUJI, DVD's but same effect.

Any help or thaughts is appreciated.

Which DVD's in market have Think coating, maybe I should try that?

It's been debated over and over. The consensus is: Don't use labels. Use sharpie or printable disks.

  4. Wow I love this!

After a big debate inanother thread about labels mess up disks and a fewpeople saying no they don't I used them for years and a couple people sayin well some day you'll have problems, and her you pop up and say " after 5 years I now have problems"

Hey that is great, mabe you should go read the other thread I mentioned, and other posts about labels not being a good idea, they date back to about 35 years ago even

    Sorry for you problems, really!
I just think it's so funny this debate has been running since the first DVD-R disks and it comes up still so often, do labels harm DVD R disks???

Considering the disc is supposed to be well balanced , and people jam them up with that crap ... it's no wonder the unit's are having a hard time with the disc's affected .

It might be very light product which people think dosent affect the disc in anyway , but considering at highspeed , these thing's cause more orbital wobble than it's worth , and that's why it make's it harder for the player's to read them properly , and that's a fact .

These people should go out and by a backyard shedder to watch ... not only would it be fun , but much faster at destroying the disc's in a flash , just make sure you point them away from yourselves before doing so .
