I have a Toshiba laptop running XP home. It has three profiles. One of the accounts seems to be corrupt and most of my settings have been lost. Okay, I can live with that but now everytime I log on I resetup the desktop and when I reboot, everything is all erased again. Any help to fix this problem will be appreciated.
Thx,
VC

So you reseting the account then rebooting , when instead you supposed to remove the account , then reboot , then recreate the account , and a final reboot to make sure it stays put .
Sound's about right ?
It's repeating what it finds in the registry related to that account , which has become corrupted ... keep doing it the way you doing now , if your happy ... but I'd suggest fixing it properly ...

The last time I seen weird stuff was two matching account's ... good old linux got it sorted , stupid xp wouldn't let me fix the fault ... I know what's good for it ... but I never do this stuff without a backup plan ... such as a backup image ... saves your bacon when trouble strike's .
I still today have no idea how she managed it ... they were perfect clone's linked to a single login .

That's the last of ie7 for me ... it crash's the system completely ... ms can sod off with their update's from now on .
