Hello and welcome to our corner of the World!

You will need to get a copy of a program called
Mac The Ripper ( commonly referred to here as MTR)
as this will allow you to rip the dvds to your Hard Drive.
it can be found over at www.ripdifferent.com or search
for "new MTR lawnman" here in our forum for a direct link.

Then you will need to either get a copy of DVD2ONEX
(referred to here as DTOX) or Toast Titanium 7
( commonly referred to here as Toast) to be able
to get more than one DVD to compress and burn to
a standard DVD-R ( aka DVD-5 or SD DVD here).

I would since you are new, reccomend Toast as your app of
choice for backing up the contents of two dvds to one one dvd,
as it will be the closest in feel to Nero, and thus make your
learning curve less steep. However, you will at some point
need to get DTOX, as it handles WAAAAY more copy protections
than Toast at this time, which will be your #1 deterrent
in backing up your dvds on the mac.
( there are others, but will get to those as we come to them).

    Again, welcome to our world.
    Glad to have you....
