    Code:
    twenty.four.season.six.preview.1080p.h264.dd20.ts
Above is the name of the file I wish to convert to dvd, and or watch on my mac for that matter. This file will not play on my mac. I have a 15" powerbook pcc, 1.5ghz, 1gb ram. I have tried playing it with mplayer, vlc, quicktime (w/ the codec), and any other player. When I opened it in vlc it came up with a huge black screen (1080 resolution) so I downsized it, the progressive bar moved for about 30 seconds to the end of the controller then stopped.

Statisitics of file according to ffmpegx are as follows

    File Size: 918mb
    Duration: 9m 58s
    MPEG-TS Video Stream
    Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1088, 50fps bitrate 12945 kb/s
    Audio: a52 codec (a.k.a) ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s

Maybe the problem is that my monitor cannot support this type of file or that I do not have enough video ram, but it does display that black screen.

Also wondering what dd20 means too.

Any ideas are welcome. Thank you.

The CPU isn't fast enough to play the file (especially the G4) for sure. dd20 means Dolby Digital 2.0. Also the length of time to convert to DVD would be very long (probably 5hrs with ffmpeg) but should be possible.

I just updated to the newest version of ffmpegx (0.0.9x r2), and it handled the file fine. Thank you for the for-warning, it is taking quite a while to convert. Will update if needed. Thanks again.
