    Does anyone have reccomendations for reasonably priced DVD Recorders with a 480i component video input?

    I don't think you will find a DVD recorder that will have component video inputs except maybe some professional very expensive models. You will likely see the same problem with DVI or HDMI inputs.

    EDIT: I see I was mistaken. There are some consumer DVRs with component inputs, according to their specs:

    PHILIPS DVDR77
    Sony RDR-HX900

    And probably a few more.
