  1. I have ripped a DVD that Ripit4me makes into 8 different VOB files.

Now i obviously want to make this into one video file for my ipod.

How do i do this? I tried using filemerger to make the vobs into one but it messed up somewhere along the way making the final vob a little corrupted thinking it was only half the length it should be and the resulting ipod video had a large audio downshift.

    Hi,
    1. Go into the settings in DVD Decrypter and uncheck file splitting, this should render your movie into 1 large PGC file, so you can work with it in other applications.

    2. SUPER either works or it doesn't, it doesn't for me either, if it's not working uninstall it and forget about it.

    3. Videora is not the best either unless you are good at tweaking the advanced settings.

    4. Nero Recode or Jesterware DVD to iPod Converter are 2 payware programs with Demo versions that both are simple to use and yield great results, try them and see for yourself.

    5. Freeware progs like SUPER and Videora can be phenomenal but you have to be willing to have the patience to learn them, The 2 programs mentioned above will cost you money and save you time and frustration. Best of luck!!

  9. No. 1 I did, and it still gave me a split file. The seem to be split on the disc.

Super did work for me up until this morning!
Got a brilliant result doing an avi, but these mov and Vob files are just endles problems!

I will try those programs now.

can you not choose it to do it in H264 format? Or choose he resolution?

    Hi,
Nero Recode "AVC" Profile is H.264, at this point it is still limited to 320x??? for H.264. It will automatically crop and set your resolution according to the Aspect Ratio of your Source, if you want to manually set them then click on the "video" Button on the right hand margin and it will allow you to set these manually. Nero Digital Standard Profile will allow for up to resolutions of 640x480 but requires a couple of extra encoder settings (Quicktime Compatibility) to playback on iPods.
