    Well the subject says it all right?

    I got an xbox 360, but since i use vista i`m unable to stream .ts files to my xbox 360 extender.
    So i just convert them to mpg (mpeg2)

    Is that the same quality as a normal ts file?

    It depends if you reconvert or just change to a mpg container. If you just use hdtvtompeg2 you will just change to a mpg container, the video and audio quality will be same.
