hello everybody,
I would to edit a DVD but I have found nothing about the DVD standards (wich aspect ratio are supported for example). I'm a little confused, especially on how to manage the IFO files if I re-encode the VOBs with different resolution/bitrates.
where should I find this informations? I have to do the job without using one-click software because I want to encode only the audio of my movie..

so, if I've understood it well: if I change a VOB encoding it, it's enough I keep it's original IFO and don't change the files names?

The guide here
https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=275603
tells how to replace a subtitle on a DVD. You can also follow this guide on how to re-author a DVD if you change something like add a new audio file. No, it's not enough to keep the original IFO and the same file names. This guide should help you. Probably there are other guides here that can help, but you need to look for them.
