  1. Hi there, my question:

    I have allready burnt Shrek on vcd (2cd's) with NERO 5.5.6.4, because i couldn't find the subs for it.... now i have found it..

    Can i "add on" this subtitle... with nero.

    Is it possible once ive added the subs on my VCD, to switch it off wile i em watching it...

    2nd question: how do i make chapters in a VCD using Nero, TMPGenc and Virtualdub..

    as long as my boss thinks i make a lot of money, i will pretend to work hard ;)

  2. Oops No. You have been a little late. To add a subtitle to a VCD, it has to be done during encoding. And subtitles cannot be switched OFF and ON for a VCD. You may need to reencode your MPEGs again and create new VCDs.
    Also Chapters are a part of the VCD authoring process. Virtualdub and TMPGEnc are not involved directly - unless you use them to get the start times. I do not use Nero, but VCDImager can make chapters easily. You can use TSCV.

    and does it encode an MPEG1 to .Dat

  4. I have not used much of Nero, so I am not aware.
    VCDImager is a powerful (S)VCD creator. It uses the XML for the authoring part and hence offers high flexibility to the VCD creation. http://www.vcdimager.org
    TSCV is a GUI for VCDImager. http://www.ttool.de
    Check out for yourself.
