You need to extract the muxed MPEG files from the VIDEO_TS folders and then use an application such as Toast to author them to a new VIDEO_TS folder. Toast 7 can extract the MPEGs using its Media Browser. Lots of folks use MPEG Streamclip for this purpose.

  4. Thanx for the reply..I have now been able to add the various Video_TS files onto one DVD using Toast 7..However when i still try use iMovie the clips do NOT come out in their FULL length..they just show in the preview (and also when i make a project and burn it) a tiny first part of the actual clip..ie 9min clip just shows approx 9 secs each time..Any thoughts pls..

    Thanx

After extracting the MPEGs with the Toast Media Browser, select the title(s) in the Toast Video window and click Export. Choose either MPEG 4 or DV as the format for export. Now import that file to iMovie for editing.

iMovie is having problems with time code breaks that are in the MPEG file. Another option is to open the VOB title set in MPEG Streamclip. Then choose Repair Time Code Breaks from the Streamclip Edit menu and then Export as MPEG from the File menu.

  6. Hi there i have just changed from a iMac G5 to an iMac Intel Core 2..
Previously when i tried to import a .VOB into MPEG Streamclip it just fixed the time breaks and played the movie, then i exported it and put them onto one DVD..
Now since i have tried to use it with the new iMac Intel a message pops up saying that i dont have a Quicktime 6 MPEG 2 playback component is not installed..For one i have QT 7 Pro secondly i have Final Cut Pro 5 installed..I thought that with these 2 programs i wld have this component..Why now am i having problems with this message???Whereas previously i never saw this message..I also have Toast 7..
I have min-dvd's that i have several TS-Folders on them and i want to place them onto one DVD (4.7GB)..
    So now what?

    Thanx
