I burnt a dvd for my friends wedding, when i tried it it froze on me. I tried it on my powerbook and it froze then told me it was dirty or scratched. I barley even touched the dvd after i took it out of the case. The dvd was a dynex 4 gb dvdr, I have used them before and they all worked for me in the past.

I used idvd for this dvd, and I have to use the best quality button instead of best performance button in idvd preferences to burn it since the dvd was too big on best performance. Anyone have ny suggestion on what i sould try.

Please i really need help they need it by christmas, thanks.

It sounds like a defective disc. Try another.

I would try a different brand of DVD. Media can vary by batch, even within a spindle. Cheaper DVD media can be made by several different manufactures. Best to stick to the bigger name brands if you want consistent results. You can check your media to the left in 'DVD Media' and see what others say about it.

Changing DVD media is about the easiest change to make and DVD media quality is the most common problem with DVD media playback.
