Hi everyone I have a bit of an odd problem, I do not get thumbnails for AVI or any 'movie' format.
I know that Win XP does this because I can see it on other PCs.
This sounds like it is just a presentation problem but I believe it is also related to some more functional problems:
Windows Movie Maker doesn't work, I get a 'class not registered' error whenever I try to import any type of video file (I can edit using Nero Vision but no thumbnails there either).
When I burn a DVD using Nero there are no thumbnails available for the title/chapter menus.
Windows media player 11 doesn't display the location/time after about the 60 minute mark (media player 10 did so I'm not sure about this one).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Volpo

I believe there is a menu option to enable thumbnails, I don't recall exactly at the moment. I have it disabled because it uses resources and slows opening times of folders as it has to scan/create/open all of the thumbnails.
After it is enabled, windows should display thumbnails for all video formats supported by WMP.Google is your Friend
