I'm pretty new at this whole movie production thing. I have a Sony miniDV camcorder and have been pulling video off of it with an Adaptec Firewire card and MGI VideoWave 4 SE. I tried converting it to Mpeg 2 and then burning it to a CD using Nero but it would not accept the file. It won't let me convert the AVI to Mpeg using an audio rate of 48 khz.(The only option is 44.1 khz for some reason). How can I get this DV into a format that I can play on my living room DVD player? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Use TEMPEnc to encode it to VCD or SVCD compliant MPEGS.
Then burn it in NERO.
