Has anyone the firmware of the medion MD 81477(belgium) ? Is it perhaps the same as the liteon 5055 or others?
Other problem : when i have copied a dvd and want to play it on my MD 81477 some dvd's go while playing f.e. from chapter 16 to 18, so he skips! The same dvd copy plays perfect in other dvd players such as pc's. How come ???
    Thanks for any reply !

ok fine , but why can a cheap product as Home Electronics (30 euro) with divx f.e. can play these dvd copys with no problem? Is it perhaps the 'to good'-accuracy of the dvd player MD 81477 wich sees the possible 'copy-errors' on te dvd copy wich isn't with the cheap ones ?

Have you tried Medion's website? They should have updates for their equipment:

Also, try cleaning the laser lens.

Thanks but medion has no upgrades for this MD 81477; i have asked them by mail and wait.

I don't think that the lens is bad because I have had a brand new player from Medion and did the same test with the dvd copy and at just the same place on the copy the player went crazy and skipped at the very same point to the other chapter. I think there's a slight problem on the dvd-copy but stil i don't understand why the copy plays on 4 other dvd-players that I work with. The MD81477 'sees' something the others don't but i don't know what!
