I have a Sharp LC-26SH20U that I just purchased. This morning when I tried to power it up the usual black background appeared with the message "please wait." So far nothing unusual, but the TV refused to go past this point in it's power up cycle. Normally the next step would be the channel number that I was on last would appear on screen than the picture would come on. This morning I could not get "Please Wait" and after about 15 minutes the TV would shut off. I read the manual and could not find any reset proceedure except to pull the power for several minutes then try powering up the unit again. I tried 2 minutes, then 10, 15, 30, but still no luck. So I called Sharps customer service department and explained what had happened and what I had tried and was told the unit was broken and had to go in for service. I asked for the reset proceedure for this set, but they would not give it to me and said "That it wasn't even worth trying." So I then decided to unplug the set for the rest of the day since I had to leave for work anyway. When I got home today I plugged the TV back in pressed the power button and the TV came on picture and all. I then powered it on and off several more times and it has been working fine so far. Does anyone know how to reset this TV. I read in some other forums about some Sharp sets with a reset button, but this unit does not seem to have one. Not one that I have been able to find anyway. Thanks!

unplug the power cord ... wait one minute and do NOT plug cord back in .. but push power switch several times ...
