I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I have my media pc connected to my lcd tv via a dvi to hdmi cable. It worked fine for a couple days. Now, it will work but once I switch the source to tuner then back to hdmi or if I turn the lcd tv off, then on, the tv says it cannot detect the signal coming from the computer... "no signal". Then, if I unplug the hdmi end of the cable, then plug it back in, the display comes back. I have tried reinstalling the video drivers with no luck. I reinstalled "plug and play monitor" with no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much!

This is a hardware communication issue. There is no "fix". Most pc's experience this issue when outputting video to a TV. The usual fix is to reconnect the TV and reboot the pc.

well i had been reconnecting cable to TV and rebooting, with no luck. Reconnecting cable would fix the display, but if I were to turn the tv off off then turn it back on, it would show no signal once again (and I would have to unplug/plugin the cable to get the display back).
However, I recently downloaded a new driver for my video card and uninstalled/reinstalled the video card & monitor. I then did a restart and now it seems to be working. Not sure if it is just coincidence or if what I did made a difference, but thanks for your advice. -
I'm glad it is working for you. I didn't expect it to be a driver issue as I've had similar issues in the past when connecting TV's.
