  1. I have tried a couple of suggestions but so far no luck..
I (for some unknown reason)started Morpheus the other night and discovered my "to be resumed" files gone.
The strange thing is that if you go into the My Media window you can see the .dat files sitting in the "others" file.
The question is..How do you set them up to be restarted, resumed and completed?
One suggestion was to ..copy the dat to a new folder...erase the original....delete the db file....move the .dat back into my download folder and restart...but it did.nt work.
    Does anyone have a solution?

  2. Dude was that my suggestion?? If so that is slightly wrong... Forgive me If this is what u have already tried...
First back up your dat routinely, I strongly advise onto a cdrw since the process of backing up causes my Windows ME to crash
Secondly if your dat disappears that u were downloading to, do the following:-
Start a fresh download of exactly the same file (that is very important otherwise it obviously wont work). pause the download and replace it with the backed up dat file making sure that the backed up file now carries the same name as the download you just cancelled. In order to do the replacement you have to completely close down Morpheus otherwise it will not let you substitute the files. Then try to resume this download.... This will work in the majority of cases!!! There are obvious reasons as to why this will not work in some ....i.e. no one has the part of the file that u were after any longer.... Any other suggestions will be welcomed....

  3. Their is a program called Dat Repairer that should fix this problem. Just download it, run it and select the .dat file and it should fix it. Then just put it in your shared folder file and start morpheus up and it should be ready to resume again. The website is http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~mab201/

  4. I still haven't fathomed out exactly when and where that program actually becomes useful. At the end of the day if the dat disappears it disappears. Or do you mean that the backup dat file that we should all have made, needs to be put through the dat repairer before being placed into the shared folder??? My most common problem is with doing a backup that involves a copy and paste. I find that about 40% of the time this is what causes Windows to crash and hence ends up losing me everything.
