    Not to be a smart ass but why would you want to. If you have a DVD-R that has something on it you want it has probibly already had all of the copy protection removed so why not just do a DVD-R to DVR-R copy with a burner program like Nero?

    a friend of mine got a rare movie on dvd-r off ebay and i wanted a copy and dvd-r doesn't play on my dvd player OK??????????
