I have a huge vob file, how do I just cut/copy a certain area say from 6mins to 8mins of the vob file. I just want to work on this part and not the rest?

TDA if you have original ifo's, VideoReDo if you don't; in second case you'll have .mpg output. Both allow time-line cut-edit.

If a dvd with vob, ifos, bups then you can use dvd shrink in reauthoring mode.

If just a vob file then use a mpeg2 editor like videoredo, mpeg-vcr, tmpgenc mpeg editor.

cuttermaran, mpeg2schnitt but they require demux/splitted video and audio streams.

and you find all mpg editors(many works with vobs als) and demuxers in our tools list.
