I dunno about you guys but I'm kinda disappointed.

Literally in my area: Winter this year came and went away, in the span of about two damned weeks.

Maybe it is like we hear about with global warming stuff, winters getting shorter, etc. Though i doubt it could get any shorter than this...

    I hear you bud.

I went north to Indiana for X-Mas hoping to atleast take the young'ns for a sled ride, but no go.

End of January first of February is the best chance of snow in Georgia, maybe there is still hope.

No time to go to Colorado for real snow, maybe next year.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

I guess in this new millennium the concept of "winter" is now being phased out completely...

This difference between this year and last year is like night and day. Soon it'll just be "summer" all year 'round.

I swear if i had a pool, i could go swimming right now as if it was a summer night!

I read that the East Coast is having a increase of people suffering from Allergy problems because of the short winter weather.

    Don't kid yourselves

    Snow's a comin'!!!!!!!!!

Here in michigan we have not had crap for snow yet...... they keep talking about the freak warm weather the last month, a little rain, but no snow.......
Don't worry... we have a lot of time for a lot of snow yet 8)
Although in the last 30 years here i have noticed a big decrease in snow & winters have become much less wintery and shorter as far as snow goes.

    @coalman

If you figure out how to convert that coal straight to cool then you will be in high cotton!

I'd imagine on a large scale a coal powered AC unit would be feasible but don't forsee it on a small consumer scale. What I need to figure out is how to make a coal fired car............err wait a minute guess I got beaten to that idea a century ago... :P

  10. As someone said .. the snow is a comin'. Fear not. For those of us (myself included) that live in eastern canada (ontario/quebec border) there is are two definate certainties when it comes to weather. They are as follows:

    a) There WILL be snow in winter
    and
    b) There WILL be inane amounts of humidity in the summer

There will be no flooding, no hurricane's, no tornadoes, no earthquakes (barring unusual phenomenons) but there will be snow and humidity. Count on it.

I love it when people that have lived around here forever say stuff like "man, I cant remember the last time it was this humid." "Uhhh .. how about LAST July you retard." Ugh.

Anywho .. yes, the winter thus far has been very mild and light on white and flakey precipitation (which sucks for outdoor hockey) but I have no worries that it will pounce on us like a fat kid on a smartie as soon as mother nature lulls us into thinking we are safe.

Yes I'm disappointed damnit. After a full year of annoying heat, i look forward to the smoother, cold winter weather.

For example: I remember last year around this time, i could lift weights in the gym for about 30 mins, then walk outside and cool off. "Ahhhhh!"

This year i lift weights, walk outside, and ITS FRIGGIN' WARM OUTSIDE! Yuck!

Gotta go in my car and crank up the A/C to chill down instead... Bahh!

If i lived near a beach-type area, i could probably go swimming right now as if it was STILL late-summer, with only mild discomfort. Ridiculous!

shit, we've gotten more snow in the past month than we usually do during an entire winter!!
I've got 3 feet of the shit in my yard...
3 major storms in 3 weeks, with temperatures in the 50's & 60's between each storm.
now we're supposed to get another foot tomorrow.....
    screw you "El Nino"!!
