    i have a propblem..........i m tryin to burn avi files to dvd........but the files are too big for example i have the season of the wire......im tryin to put like 4 episodes on 1 dvd........help please

    Your present software e.g. Nero Vision should have an option to allow you to adjust bitrate, resolution, etc. You may also want to encode the audio at a different bitrate and as MP3 (as opposed to PCM) which will give you more space for your video.

    Be warned - too low a bitrate - in other words, trying to squeeze too much onto one DVD, will result in horrible quality, and your AVIs are already compressed and the quality is already probably compromised.

    The information that Crayon Eater gave is valid but your post did not state whether you wanted the AVI files on a DVD so you could play them on your computer or maybe a stand alone DVD player.

    If you want them as data files then there is not much help available except to use a higher compression codec and still have them as playable.
    If you are creating a DVD to plop in a player then CrayonEater has the best approach.

    Some more details would be helpful.
