  1. i keep getting an e-mail about copying DVD's. it never says exactly who it's from. when i click on the link i get a page that has at the top COPY DVD'S. it then has a page to enter name, address, and credit card info along with other stuff to enter. it says that DVD'S can be copied with just their software with a normal burning drive. cost is 30 bucks. nowhere does it say who the company is just that after you send the info they will then send the software. to me it looks like a hoax. and don't worry, i'm not gonna send them anything. from what i've gathered here, their is no way to copy DVD's to with a normal CD drive. of course on the page it doesn't say you can copy directly to a DVDR. maybe if anything its for software to rip DVD's. anyone else seen this?????????

  7. I thought that it might be just a joke that happened to be a little to close to the truth. This email is all over the place, they are trying to get you to give them your CC number and they wont say who they are, just gimme your credit card and trust me is their way of business. Either way, its al BS, the only possible way to get a dvd movie onto a cd is to convert it to divx, even that at DVD quality would be larger, but you lose tons of quality overall, and you cant play it anywhere,as opposed to what these dog humpin spammers say, divx is PC only as of now, nothing else supports it.
And above all else divx is FREE, why would anybody go and pay for divx codec?
If you get anything like that in email think of this line"If it sounds to good to be true,it probably is"
Spam is just the feces of the internet that we all sadly have to live with
