    i went to download a video blog episode (in quicktime format, not that it matters) and i notice the regular version is 29.97 fps and the high definition version is 15 fps... why is that? is this smart?

    Umm ... no not smart, unless you like slide shows.

    What resolution does it show?

    Did they take 1080i 29.97 (59.94 fields per second) and somehow do a skip every 4 fields? Who knows. Many ways to screw it up.
