I am completely new to trying to use the tv capture in my video card and I'm not sure where to start. I have an XFX Geforce 7600GT and it is (currently) connected to my DVR with an S cable. Thats really about it, I cant get much further so I need help: how do I make this work?
Thanks for any advice!

I don't think you graphics card has video capture capability. The s-video port is for output to a TV.
You need a video capture card or external device. -
What jagabo said. Unless you have a model with input, you would need a capture card. For a listing, see 'Capture Cards' to the left. <<<<<<
I you are thinking of purchasing or using a capture card, you might look at lordsmurf's site: http://digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/restoration/audio/intro.htm Some good info there on capture cards.
