ps 2 dvd r+w playback

I`ve red lots of posts here,but no one could verify whether is Playstation 2 compatible with DVD+RW format.
So, I beg some good soul to try it out and notify me and others.

I will be testing it tonight with the dvd-r not the dvd+r or dvd-rw. I will post the results tomorrow.

I tried DVD+RW in both of my Playstation2 with no luck, it just gives a disc read error.

I have a US SCPH-30001R and a Japanese SCPH-10000, and neither one can read DVD+RW.

I used ULead Movie factory with a Ricoh MP5120A on Ricoh DVD+RW media and Mitsubishi DVD+RW media to create the DVD. dvdplusrw.org shows the Playstation2 as compatible for new versions, and incompatible for old versions... I believe my SCPH-30001R is the newest version though!
