    Hi.
Ineed some help.... (sorry if i posted in the wrong forum)
I recorded a dvd-rw of music videos from my dvd recorder.
Using xilisoft dvd ripper, I encoded them into DVD format. They all have the extension .vob

I have ulead movie factory 5 plus, and am unable to import the files or even the dvd folder straight from the disc into ulead...says the files are css protected.

If I could I would like to keep the all the videos in dvd format and just edit the start and stop times, and burn a dvd that can playback on my dvd players.
And Ulead said it could import vob files...and it won't for me. Why?

I'm not clear on what you are doing.

You encoded to DVD format? Why not edit it before encoding?

Are the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder DVD compliant? See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left. <<<<<<<

You could convert it from the DVD format to MPEG-2 with VOB2MPG and edit the MPEG-2 file, then re-convert it to the DVD format.

    But, welcome to our forums.
