hi baldrick, i posted last night asking how to simply convert a .wmv file to .avi and i have a few more questions i'm hoping you could answer for me if possible.
i was originally going to convert the .wmv file i had to .avi and then convert the .avi file to .mp4 using psp video 9 but then i noticed with super i can directly convert the .wmv file to .mp4 so thats what i'm trying to do.
the first thing i did was load up my .wmv file in super and then i used the multimedia analysis tool to see what settings the .wmv was using so i could set those same settings in super.
i set everything the same but i noticed the .wmv i have has a video bitrate of 3172 or 3173 and theres no options for a video bitrate of 3172 or 3173 so i set it to the closest bit rate option i could find and that was 3168.
is this what i should have done?
also when i selected .mp4 as the output container i wasn't sure what i should have set the output video and audio codecs as so i left them at default which was h.264/avc for video and aac for audio?
are these the settings i want to use?
and last but not least there was 3 options i wasn't sure about high quality was checked, stretch it was checked and under dvd language select audiostream track # it was set to default.
do i want to change any of those settings or leave them as is?
any help would be appreciated
thx
george
