I just completed a short film and wanted to get your opinion on it.

I think it's very good. The only small problem I saw was the handwritten note towards the end. A little hard to read, but that's probably just me. It's tough to do that smoothly on a small screen. Overall, good editing, directing, acting and filming.

Very nice. A bit too much of shaky camera work for my taste. Filming in full daylight takes away from the drama. You could improve scene lighting. The ending was a bit abrupt and kind of expected... this theme was explored so many times... I'd prefer to see the whole note at once instead of camera following the lines. Overall impression is very good. Nice acting (perhaps consider/try slightly less suggestive approach...).

Something very different but well worth watching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG03joaqrcc
(great pace, concise, good delivery, everything fits).
Sorry I don't visit youtube so this is one of the very few examples I could refer to.

Excellent acting. Good use of camera angles, however as InXess suggested, a tripod would have been helpful in almost every scene. The music selection and placements were well done. Overall I think it was well done, but I found the ending a little confusing. Why would the attackers leave the note on the floor and not on the body? Why would Jason's first reaction be to pick up and read the note instead of rushing to see if his brother was still alive? How did he get blood on his hand from just reading the note?
