TV Guide on Sony RDR-HX900

Has anyone had problems getting the tv guide on screen? I've had my DVR for almost 2 years. Never any problems. Yesterday, I went to hit the guide button on the remote, but nothing is happening. I tried pressing tv guide on the dvr - nothing.
I tried using the remote again. I pressed 'System Menu' and when I click on TV Guide again, it acts like it's trying to go there, but it just goes back to the tv channel. I can't get use the schedule button either. Everything else is fine. I can record using the record button. I can't time record anything until this is fixed. I can get into the title list, but not the TV guide and I'm very frustrated. Please someone help me!

after spending 15 minutes with a sony support chat agent, we finally figured it out to take batteries out of remote, press all buttons at once, replace batteries and voila! it works.
