I have USB TV Tuner device (Sabrent) and I am using WinDVR that came along with it to record programs. I want to be able to play video/audio files on my PC while the recording of live TV is going on in the background. But the problem is I hear sounds track of video being recorded as well as of the file I am currently playing. If I mute the volume of WinDVR, it mutes the volume for the PC and I cant get any audio.
Is there any way to make WinDVR record video and not send any audio output. Is there any other TV recording software that will let me do that?
Thanks for any help.

It is possible only if your windows audio-mixer has full control of input and output signals (it depends of hardware and software). You must set recording level in 'recording control' section and mute input signal in 'volume control' section. Do not use volume control in WinDVR.

I have no idea about WinDVD. I use WinTV and I can turn the WinTV volume down and still hear all of my system sounds.
