    Hi,
    I'm a french student doing a 6 month placement in LA in a automobil consultancy agency.
    I'm currently working on a applicaiton of video reduction:
    the objective is to read a video form normal speed down to frame by frame backwards and forwards.
    The video is on a DVD and I've not been able to play the video backwards in a correct
    but I managed to meet my requirement on mpg or avi files.
    I tried using VOB2MPG (that converts in less than 4min) but for an unknown reason I can't get, like on other mpg files, a mouvement under 0.5sec.
    Other program I've tried convert the dvd in a usable file but in other 30min
    Since some study that are done here are over 30 DVD it isn't plausible to have 30 x 30min of convertion

    so my question is this: Do you know another software in freeware, sharware or commercial that can convert form a dvd to an mpg or avi in a maximum of 5 min?

    Maybe try VideoReDo's "quick stream fix" on the VOB2MPG output to see if your application handles it better...
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
    VOB2MPG PRO, Extract mpegs from your DVDs - with you in control!
