    Hello,
I am in need of assistance from the video junta crew...

How can I put subtitles permanent onto an wmv file and save it to a new wmv file with subtitles? I have tried VirtualDub and it did not work for me because its a Windows Media file. My only option is capturing the whole video into Avid and make Subtitles through Avid then export as a AVi with Subtitles but I am trying to avoid a long process. Any help is greatly apperciated...

That would give you an avi though. You could use AVISynth and encode with Windows Media Encoder or whatever. Since WME would use dshow for input you could possible just use directvobsub.
