dvd to dvd-r i cannot do it ?

i'm runninig quad G5 10.4.8: I have problems due encoding dvd ntsc commercial on dvd-r.

1) opening dvd player running all chapters
2) running dvdbackup ill get error encoding the 1 file vob after 5-6 minutes
3) tryng mactheripper, i'm gonna have 30 minutes of encoding, but at the end mactheripper said: BAD SECTOR and the file video is black with no sound

do i miss something that i don't know?

(ps: i can perfectly encode the disc on a divx using handbrake2.. , but i need on dvdtodvd-r)

Check the surface of the disc. Perhaps it's dirty?

nope these disc are new, just open the box today: i bought "lost 2" in usa (ntsc) region 1and i want to see on my dvd (pal) region 2 in italy but i don't know why i cannot recode them

I'm certain you're using MTR of the 2.6.6 persuasion. It
cannot handle the newer protection schemes. Go to the
MTR page (mactheripper.org), join the forum, and get
the latest version-3 beta (donationware).

yes the new mactheripper 3 beta solve the problem, tnx! Seam "lost collection" codify in a new system. So my system run perfectly, dvdbackup and mactheripper 2.6.6 are out of date.
