  1. Haven't been here for a while , simply because of the help here had pretty much solved all my capturing needs and was/am pretty happy with the results.

I capture from a satellite tv card (Hauppauge DVB-s) to mpg and then frameserverve to tsunami 12a with dvd2avi , using tsunami 12a's filters extensivly (usually svcd or sometimes xsvd).

Why am i bothering to ask?, you probably are wondering; well as good as Tsunami's filters are, i can't help wondering if there has been development/improvement in them over the last couple of years like imho VirtualDub has had.

The feeling was a year or so ago that 12a was the best around despite the fact that even then there was quite a few more revisions.

    Has this changed?

Should i stick with 12a or is an update worthwhile? (even if i have to pay for it these days..i don't mind..its a quality product)

  3. i have about 4 versions of tmpenc.. and i only ever use 12a . its the most stable which means alot when doing 5+hour encodes.

if the price is right and the crap he added is made stable then its probably worth the cash
