The only software that will grab anything playing on your PC in any player would be some sort of screen recorder like camtasia. However in most cases it would not be able to keep up the framerate, so you would not get an accurate recording of the playback.

If you are talking about streaming media in your browser, look at the Video Streaming Recording area of the Tools section.
