    Is there a setting that could have been changed that would not allow me to access it?
    I just checked one of my other computers on my home network and I cannot get Yahoo on that one either. I have no problem accessing other sites.

    Those who say "no problem", have you actually tried to login to a yahoo.com e-mail account? Sometime the main page appears, but after trying to use one of the services, it times out.
