I have my eye on the ATI All In Wonder X1900 PCIE but I'm having trouble finding information on whether it is Windows XP Pro x64 compatible.
Naturally I came here firstto look for reviews and further info but no luck.
I used the "upgrade advisor" on the buy ati website here:
http://buy.ati.com/productinfo/ua/index.asp
and filled in the info (that it needs to be PCIE, Windows XP Pro x64 OS ect)
and that is the only card of theirs that pops up. However, upon looking over the specs here
http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonx1900/aiwx1900/specs.html
it says
- Windows XP Pro x64 isn't listed.Operating Systems Support
* Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
* Windows® XP Home Edition
* Windows® XP Professional Edition
I really love my current AIW (9800 Pro) and the one I had before that (AIW 8000 DV) but Santa is going to be bringing various parts for a whole new systemand I'm looking for Windows XP Pro x64 compatibility.
Perhaps not necessarily moving to 64 bit now but I think I should look ahead to the future a little bit because this will have to last me a pretty good long while.
Soooooo does anybody have any info on this card or perhaps personal experience with it?

I did some more searching -
PC World says "yes" for Windows XP x64 Driver
http://www.pcworld.com/product/specs/id,28584-c,graphicsboards/specs.html
but a reviewer here says:

No 64 bit support for video capture (PVR, etc.), making the AIW part of this card useless on XP x64.
ATI makes no mention of the lack of 64 bit video capture support in advertising, documentation or online support. After a couple weeks of slow ATI support, ATI stated that they did not know if or when any x64 support for video capture would be made available.

A reviewer says
It seems like they enabled X64 drivers for the graphics part of the card, but nothing else.
I called ATI, they said they were waiting to see how Vista x64 sold before making the Multimedia software (tv tuner part) for the card. Also, as of current Catalyst you can't use the overclock feature with 64bit windows. It simply doesn't show up. Same with the multimedia center option in the catalyst install menu. Just isn't there. That means that the AIW x1900 is a great VIDEO card but that you CANNOT OC it using the software, nor can you USE THE TUNER part of the card without 3rd party software.
So now I guess it would be a matter of finding out if the software I use would run under XP Pro x64
Any thoughts on this ?
