I have a MPEG-2 file which has just under 19 minutes of compressed video or so.
It's size is a hair over a gig.
I only need the first 3 and a half minutes.
How do I get rid of the last 14.5 minutes I don't need and resave the truncated file?
What do you suggest please?
Thanks!

VirtualDubMod again can be used for this aswell as I said in your other post, you just mark your lead in and lead out set your file format and save.

You could have put all three questions in the one post, as they are all related.
If you use virtualdubmod/mpeg for this, you will have to save under a new compression (re-encode) as you cannot keep mpeg2, even if you try Direct Stream Copy. If this is OK, see one of your two other posts for answers on how.
If you want to keep it mpeg2, look at cuttermaranRead my blog here.
