Alright, this might be a bit of a strange problem.
When I make a menu in Photoshop and import it into DVD Lab PRO, if I choose to import it WITH layers it automaticlly places the picture in the right position on the menu 1 ROOT. If, however, I import it and choose NO layers the picture isn't placed in the right position and I have to move it around and change the size to get it in the right spot.
Also, if I import it with layers and I use Gen EFX it only puts the effect onto the layer I have selected and forthe life of me I can't figure out a way to get itto put the effect on alllayers at once.
Is there a better format to import pictures with (JPEG has the same problem as selecting no layers)?
It's probably just me screwing something up.
Oh, and one more thing. When I created a menu and had the picture on the outside template line, theres still lots of room between the edge of the picture and the edge of the screen on a regular TV. Am I using the right template line for a 4:3 TV? If so, could someone give me a link to another template to see if I have the same prolbem.
Thanks for any help.

Whn you apply genFX (urgh) there is a checkbox at the bottom of the genfx window to restrict the effect to just the background, or to all layers. Set this as required.
What size image are you importing ?
DLP uses 720 x 540 menus for both NTSC and PAL. I design my menus for PAL (720 x 576, nons-quare pixels) in photoshop, then save a resized version for import into DLP. I have no issues with the results.Read my blog here.
