I'll try to give as much info as possible, but unfortunately I don't know techinical terms or much "computer lingo"...

I have a DVD burner. I've backed up several DVD's using DVD Decryptor. I am using Dual Layer discs. These back-ups play on one of my DVD players and also my PS2.

I recently purchased a Samsung HT-Q45 5 disc player to get a surround sound system. However, when I go to play my discs that are back ups, I get the following message: "PLAY PROHIBITED, PLEASE CHECK DISC". The original DVD plays fine.

Any help on 1- Why am I receiving this message? 2- Any way I can do something differently to play my back ups?

    I've used both + & - DL DVD's.

I have tried to backup the DVD to a regular 4.5 DVD using DVD Shrink but I'm having problems in the burn mode (Using DVD Decryptor to make an ISO file, then I'm trying to use DVD Shrink to burn the disc and I get an error message).

Anyone have any ideas to try that don't recquire my to buy something/software (i.e., freeware)?

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Hi, could be one of a few things -

Did you use DVD Decrypter in ISO read/ISO write mode?
Maybe your Samsung doesn't like (certain) dual layer discs?
Do the discs you created work on other DVD players?
    Which media did you use?

To back up to a single layer disc instruct DVD Shrink to output to an ISO, then burn the ISO with ImgBurn.
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.
