Is a faster way of converting ntsc film->ntsc going to be implemented in svcd2dvd? Because atm I have to use virtual dub to increase the framerate first because applying a pulldown in svcd2dvd takes too long and If I don't do any framerate conversion I get the annoying jitter.
EDIT- Actually is there anyway to just leave the framerate at 23.97fps because my dvd player can play videos at that framerate?

23.97fps with pulldown is the best option (despite the time it takes). 23.97fps on its own is not a valid framerate for DVD despite the fact your DVD player plays it.
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

I know but can't there be an option for us people with dvd players that play it so we can save time? At the moment it takes longer for me to transcode an xvid to dvd with svcd2dvd than it takes to transcode a dvd to xvid with virtualdub.
Maybe give an option to transcode to pal that way it doesn't have to add as many frames?
