I recently discovered that by entering "https://192.168.1.100/nowplaying/index.html" in a web browser I can access my tivo and down-load shows to my pc. however due to the encryption in the .tivo files they are unviewable. The few tools that windows users use just don't work on my system under wine. i have tried search after search trying to see what linux users do or if there is any native linux software that can strip the drm out, without success. is there anyone who knows if this is possible on a linux only system.
the only work around for me so-far is to transfer to a winblows system to decrypt.
my thanks in advance

This is high on my wishlist as well. Currently I have to boot into windows and use the graphedit tool. In addition to having to reboot, it's a pain because I end up with several copies of the show, on windows and linux partitions, in both encrypted and non-encrypted form. Also the graphedit program is a pain to use, b/c you have to redefine your filter chain graphically each time.
Would be nice to have a filter that takes a .tivo file as input, along with the media password, and dump a mpg as output. -
just what the Dr. ordered

works great with winblows. wine however requires .net installed. Not for me"The software said Win XP or better, so I Installed Linux" -
