This is my first post so I hope it makes sense. I am having a problem with converting avi's to mpgs after capture.
I am using vdub to capture, and the picture looks pretty good. However when I use TMPG Encoder to convert the file to svcd the movie gets alot darker. There is also a bit of grainyness to the video in general. I view these two images side by side on my computer.
I was wondering if anyone knew why the image gets so dark after conversion. Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
Stats:
Capture:
Vdub Res: 480x480 | 29.97 fps | mjpeg codec on 19 quality
I am using a composite vid-in since I don't have a VCR with Svideo.
Convert:
TMPG Svcd (NTSC)Template | 2520 CBR | high quality
System:
1.4 Gig Athalon
256 mb Ram
20 Gb Hard Drive
Osprey 200 Capture Card
